Bookings and deposit
To secure a booking, Dokkham Travel requires a non-refundable deposit of 100 US dollars, per person. Final payment is due 30 working days prior to your arrival. A booking is accepted and becomes definite only from the date when we have confirmed acceptance by issuing a booking confirmation and after having received your deposit.
If your reservation is made within 30 days of departure, the entire costs of the trip must be paid at the time of confirmation. As soon as Dokkham Travel has received your deposit and confirmed your booking, the following contract comes into existence
Amendments/changes by you
An amendment fee of 50 US dollars per person will be applied every time a confirmed booking requires amendments.
Passports and visas
It is the responsibility of the client to be in possession of a valid passport, and visa permits
Cancellation by you
Cancellations need to be done in writing. Written notification is essential even if verbal cancellation has been given. Cancellation charges will be calculated from the day written notification is received by Dokkham Travel.
- More than 30 days before arrival date: refund in full
- 15 to 30 days: 30 % of the tour price
- 7 to 15 days: 50 % of the tour price
- Less than 7 days in advance: 100 % of the price
- No show or cancellation on day of departure: 100 % of the price
If the reason for cancellation is covered by the insurance policy, you may be able to reclaim these charges.
Vouchers for booking arrangements and a copy of the client's itinerary will be issued to our customer on arrival by a Dokkham Travel representative
Liability and insurance
Travel insurance is compulsory for all our clients. Customers are wholly responsible for arranging their own insurance. The policy should provide adequate cover for medical expenses arising trough illness or accident during the holiday, including evacuation and repatriation in an emergency.
By making a booking with Dokkham Travel the client declares to be aware of certain inherent risks due to adventure travel. Without limitation, Dokkham Travel is not responsible for any loss, injury, or death. Clients shall not hold Dokkham Travel responsible for any injury, loss, death, delay or damage resulting from unforeseen complications such as illness, civil unrest, strikes, accidents, natural disasters, delays, local conditions, change of airline schedules, criminal activities or political actions. Dokkham Travel is also not responsible for any inconvenience caused by overbooking, failures of aircrafts or mechanical problems with means of transportation.
Dokkham Travel shall always do its up most to provide the services to the best of its capacity and upon the satisfaction of the client.
If you have a complaint
If the client has a complaint about any of the tour arrangements the clients must bring this to the attention of Dokkham Travel as soon as possible by contacting the headoffice in Vientiane. Dokkham Travel will use their best endeavors to rectify the situation. Failure to complain on the spot will result in the client's ability to claim compensation. Should the problem remain unsolved a complaint must be made in writing within 30 days of the completion of the tour.
If services (included in tour prices) like meals, transports, sightseeing trips, guides, are not utilized by our clients, Dokkham Travel does not provide refunds.
Changes by us
Dokkham Travel reserves the right to alternate itineraries when local conditions require such changes (e.g. due to changes in flight schedules, weather conditions etc).
Fitness of client
The clients declares that he or she is not suffering from any physical illness or disability that could create a hazard to him of herself or other members of the group. If so, client should consult Dokkham Travel in advance.
Any bank charges levied by the sending bank relating to transfers to Dokkham Travel must be paid by the client. You are kindly requested to transfer your deposit or final tour price on the following bankaccount:
