It is with great pleasure that we introduce Dokkham Travel to you. Our company is a privately owned tour operator specialised in Laos. We are based in Vientiane, the capital of Laos. During the last years Dokkham Travel has welcomed thousands of customers from all over the world. Clients sent by travel agencies abroad as independent travelers, enjoyed our diverse range of itineraries, featuring adventure travel, luxury tours and family trips. Branch offices assist our services across Laos (and Cambodia).

Founders

Keng Vongphakdy - Director During the strict Lao communist regime in the eighties, Keng (originally a pharmacist), fled to Thailand where he lived for a couple of years. On his return to Laos, he used to work as a teacher and later on as a local guide throughout Laos. Together with Aline he founded Dokkham Travel in 1999.
Aline van der Meulen – Managing Director After studying journalism, Aline worked for ten years for several Dutch tour operators guiding clients all through Asia. The mystic and laidback atmosphere of Laos affected her immediately and after a couple of visits she decided to settle down in Vientiane. In 1999, together with Keng Vongphakdy, she started to operate Dokkham Travel. Aline is from Dutch origin.
Introducing the team Dokkham Travel is operated by a dedicated team. In (undeveloped) Laos it is hard to find courses where staff can be trained to work independently at a travel agency. So most of our employees learned from experience and were taught internally. Driven by passion for their job and country, they are eager to show you the ‘other’ Laos partly through their eyes.
